Adapt single-pole switch
Identify the present connection diagram and mark the following wires with labels:
- Phase conductor supplying 230V
- Wires that lead to the lamp
Warning: In reality, the switching can look different to what you see on the drawing. The wires leading to the lamp do not always go upwards. Also, the phase conductor and neutral conductor may be in a different colour. Therefore, use a multimeter to correctly identify the connection diagram.

Connect the connected double switch if you want to program the extra button for another function. Otherwise, choose a connected single switch.
Tip: You can choose whether you connect the left or the right button.
You need an extra wire❶, because you must connect the neutral conductor to the connected switch (you can also establish a connection via the N terminal). The L2 terminal can be left free, as you are only connecting one light point . The E1 and E2 terminals may also be left free, as these are only used in a two-way or intermediate switching to connect traditional push buttons to the connected switch.
