Niko Home Control Partners - While activating the partner, I am shown a list of zones or devices from the partner but no Niko Home Control basic actions or routines are found.
Only applicable for Niko Home Control II installations with a software version 2.16 or older.
If no basic actions or routines had been created in the Niko Home Control programming software to control a partner function, then this list will indeed be empty (but this is by no means a problem). The partner system's functions are always visible in the Niko Home app and on the touchscreen, even if you have not configured anything in the Niko Home Control programming software.
If you would like to use the partner functions in other Niko Home Control basic actions or routines as well, then you can do so with the Niko Home Control programming software. For example, you can also control a partner device with a standard all-off routine.
You can create a generic device to represent the partner system in the Niko Home Control programming software. Remember to link an action to this generic device too. This is because the web portal uses Niko Home Control basic actions and routines (and not the generic device itself).
However, the generic device you have created in the Niko Home Control programming software is not yet linked to the actual system. You do this in the web portal at the time you activate the link to the partner system. This will show you a list of the available zones, devices and/or functions of the partner system.
You can now establish a link to the accompanying Niko Home Control basic action or routine per zone, device and/or function of the partner system too. If you do not wish to establish a link with a Niko Home Control action, you can leave the selection field for the accompanying zone or device empty.
You can find the manual for the Niko Home Control programming software here.
