Tiene Dewachter, lighting designer at Modular, says: “We wanted to create a space where each light source could be individually controlled, new technologies seamlessly integrated, and customers could experiment with different lighting scenarios themselves.” Project manager Charlotte Callewaert, based on previous positive experiences, turned her attention to Niko Home Control.

The Niko Home Control system proved to be the ideal match for Modular's ambitious plans. The system meets the complex requirements of the showroom environment, where flexibility and ease of use are paramount.
With bus cabling as the backbone and control via Digital Black, each light source in the showroom could be individually programmed and managed via an app. Twelve touchscreens were installed throughout the showroom, allowing visitors to summon, adjust, and experience different lighting atmospheres themselves.

With this smart system, customers can control 12 different lamps via an intuitive interface, where the names of the lights are clearly displayed. Lighting is easily controlled by zone, and within the zone, each fixture can also be controlled separately. This innovative approach transforms the showroom from a static space into a dynamic environment where light comes to life.
