The socket outlet is equipped with contact busses with a large contact surface area which do not rest on the base in order to clasp, a solid brass nickel-plated pin earthing and cage clamps with permanent screws. These screws have combination screwheads (Pz2 slot 1x6 mm). Moreover, each screw is equipped with a screwdriver slot that prevents the screwdriver from sliding off the screwhead. The base of the socket outlet is made of urea-formaldehyde (UF), light grey RAL7035. The base is highly heat resistant; it does not melt when exposed to high temperatures, as opposed to thermoplasts. All connection terminals are located on the top and can contain up to 4x2.5 mm² of wire; the earthing terminals can even contain up to 2x2.5 mm² + 2x4 mm² of wire. The stripping length (14 mm) of the wires is indelibly imprinted on the back of the base. When mounting the socket outlet in a flush-mounting box with grip surfaces, use claws that can be rotated open using screws with a combination screwhead (Pz2 1x5.5 mm). The claws, which have a depth of engagement of 31 mm, turn back completely when loosened. The flush-mounting frame is made of 1 mm-thick metal and after cutting is galvanized on all sides, even on the cut edges. On the horizontal and vertical axes, the flush-mounting frame has 4 grooves for screw mounting in flush-mounting boxes. These grooves have a screw aperture of 7 mm. For mounting on panels, the flush-mounting frame is equipped with 4 screw holes (indicated by a screw symbol) with a diameter of 3 mm. The middle of the flush-mounting frame is indicated (chalk line, laser, ..) in both the horizontal and vertical directions, so that mounting one or more socket outlets can be quickly and easily carried out. At the right and left sides, the flush-mounting frame is equipped with folded-up dovetails, allowing for a quick and perfect horizontal coupling of several socket outlets. The folded-up edges on the outside of the flush-mounting frame and their continuation to the inside lend an additional robustness to the frame. Vertical coupling of the socket outlets, centre distance 60 mm, is carried out by telescoping the flush-mounting frames. These are automatically locked into place. For vertical coupling of socket outlets, centre distance 71 mm, the flush-mounting frame is equipped with two pre-formed lips at the bottom. By folding these lips down over a length of 1 mm, this socket outlet rests perfectly on the one below and the centre distance of 71 mm is guaranteed. The 4 rectangular openings (7x2.5 mm) in the flush-mounting frame can compensate for a margin of 1 to 1.2 mm if the flush-mounting box protrudes beyond the plasterwork. In the case of such a margin, the faceplate can still butt up perfectly against the wall. The central plate is fixed on a flush-mounting socket outlet using a screw with a combination screwhead (Pz1 slot 1x5.5 mm). This central plate is surrounded with a flat edge that is equipped at all 4 corners with a rectangular opening, each containing a multi-positional snap hook. Thanks to the snap hooks, the construction of the central plate ensures that the faceplate can always be attached flat to the wall, even in cases of untidy plasterwork. This works in two directions: If the flush-mounting box sticks out of the plasterwork, the multi-positional snap hooks can compensate for a 1 to 1.2 mm margin; if the flush-mounting box is sunk too deeply in the plasterwork, the snap hooks can compensate for up to a 1.8 mm margin. The flat edge of the central plate also has 4 round openings that ensure the correct positioning of the faceplate in relation to the central plate. The back of the central plate is equipped with a shutters. This allows contact to be made after simultaneous introduction of the pins of a plug but prevents contact from being made if only 1 pin is introduced or if the two pins are not introduced simultaneously. The central plate is equipped with a "warning triangle" imprint and a vertical, rectangular, transparent lens (1 x 5 mm) at the bottom-left for a flush-mounting socket outlet with overvoltage protection. Seen from the front of the socket outlet, the overvoltage module is clicked into the base at the back, with the LED in the bottom-left corner. After the overvoltage module has been clicked into the back of the base, it must still be connected using 3 wires. The overvoltage module with red LED has a polyamide housing. If the red LED is illuminated, then overvoltage protection is no longer operational (the protected appliance remains live), and the overvoltage module with red LED must be replaced. The red light is produced by an LED with very limited power consumption (0.055 W when the LED is not illuminated). It is shockproof and does not radiate any heat. The connection wires of the overvoltage module are made of flexible tinned copper, are 5cm long and are insulated with PVC. Wire diameter of the connection wires: 1 mm. The rear of the overvoltage module is equipped with a Tampoprint indicating the overvoltage specifications. Uc: 250 V, Uoc: 4 kV, Up: 1.5 kV, f: 50 Hz, modes: L-L / L-PE. The short-circuit current: Icc= 1.5 kA. After mounting all components (faceplate, central plate, overvoltage module and socket outlet), no metal parts are visible thanks to the flat edge of the central plate. The combination of a socket outlet, overvoltage module, central plate with shutters and faceplate has a protection degree IP41. The plastic components of the central plate comply with a filament test of 650°C, and they are halogen-free. The central plate is made of rigid PC + ASA and is enamelled Sterling. After mounting, an impact resistance of IK06 is guaranteed. Dimensions central plate with flat edge: 56x56 mm; dimensions central plate visible part: 45x45 mm. Flush-mounting depth socket outlet with overvoltage module: 38.5 mm. Surface-mounting height = max. 9.2 mm. CEBEC approved.
