Step 2

Connect the wireless smart hub to the Internet using Wi-Fi

A

Connect your smartphone to the Wi-Fi-signal emitted by the wireless smart hub:

Network name: “Niko” followed by the last 4 digits in the MAC address of the smart hub (XX:XX). You can find the MAC address on the base of the smart hub.
Password: Serial number of the smart hub (SN: XXXXXXXXXX). You can also find this on the base of the smart hub.

B

Your smartphone will automatically open the web portal of the smart hub in a browser.

If this does not happen automatically, use a browser and surf to: NikoXXXX.local (in which XXXX are the last 4 digits in the MAC address).

C

Enter the password in the web portal. The password is once again the serial number (SN: XXXXXXXXXX)

D

The web portal now shows a list of all available Wi-Fi networks. Select your Internet network and enter (if required) the password for this network.

E

The smart hub will now connect to your own Internet network.

The smart hub no longer transmits the “Niko XXXX” Wi-Fi signal.

F

Reconnect your smartphone with your Internet network if this does not happen automatically.

Click here to reset the Wi-Fi connection of the smart hub.
