  • The P49 and M49 detectors are designed for a lower current consumption of no more than 10mA, guaranteed. This optimizes the total number of devices on the DALI bus. Disabling the wireless Bluetooth® communication can minimize the nominal current consumption even further.

  • The P49 and M49 DALI-2 BMS detectors are tested and documented by an independent third-party laboratory in a controlled environment, following the IEC 63180 standard. The automated, repeated testing ensures consistent reliability and high precision.



How you will benefit from Niko BMS detectors

The DALI-2 BMS detectors are typically used in buildings with energy efficiency and comfort demands, where automation of systems such as lighting control, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) play an important role. The DALI-2 certification of our BMS detectors provides seamless integration with a third-party DALI-2 application controller in building management systems.

  • Our advanced detectors consume a maximum of 10mA. The current consumption is automatically measured according to the DALI Alliance standard, effective January 2025.

    By optimizing electric current usage, our detectors allow more units to be connected to the DALI bus, which has a limited current supply of up to 250mA.

    With a nominal consumption of 4mA, and as low as 3mA when Bluetooth® is disabled, systems can be further optimized. These detectors lead the market in efficiency, offering unmatched performance.

  • The detectors are equipped with integrated PIR sensors and transmit present/motion DALI events according to IEC 62386-303 (Occupancy).

    Furthermore, the detectors are equipped with a light sensor and transmit the light level according to IEC 62386-304 (Light).

    The light sensor operates in two ranges: 0-1023 lux and 0-10360 lux, ensuring flexible and accurate lighting control.
