Wireless Controls - How do I reset the battery powered Zigbee® switches?
There are two reset methods: factory reset and power reboot.
A factory reset of the battery powered Zigbee® switch results in:
- Removal of all data in that device. This device needs to be paired again for stand-alone use or connected use.
- A disconnection of the battery powered Zigbee® switch from its paired Zigbee® devices.
A factory reset is done as follows:
- Remove the faceplate and dismantle the switch from the base plate.
- On the rear side of the switch, press the PROG button for 2 seconds (blue LED turns on), release.
- Press the PROG button for 10 seconds (blue LED blinks 10x).
- Release pressing the PROG button when the blue LED is permanently on (lasts 4 seconds). The reset procedure is completed when the blue LED is off.
- Mount the switch back into the base plate and attach the faceplate.
A power reboot of the battery powered Zigbee® switch results in:
- A disconnection of the battery-powered Zigbee® switch from its paired Zigbee® devices, but it will not clear the device data.
- The switch can be used again with its paired Zigbee® devices.
A power reboot is done as follows:
- Remove the faceplate and dismantle the switch from the base plate,
- Slide the coin cell battery out of the battery holder (rear side of the battery switch),
- Push the switch button several times to allow for a full energy discharge, and wait for 45 seconds,
- Slide the CR2450 coin cell battery back in the holder, the positive pole facing out
- Mount the switch back into the base plate and attach the faceplate.
