Niko Home Control - How can I save energy with Niko Home Control?
The eco-display indicates your electricity, water, and gas consumption. If you press the eco-button when leaving the house, your whole house switches to the eco-setting. That means, among other things, that the lighting and a number of socket outlets are switched off. In that way you maintain control over your house at all times.
Measurements give an insight into the energy consumption and, possibly, the amount of energy generated by solar panels. This helps residents to rationalise their energy consumption. Studies show that savings of 5 to 15% on energy costs can be achieved in this way.

Furthermore, the installer can set energy-saving scenarios.
For example:
- Motion detectors in the bathroom, toilet, hall, … The lighting is never turned on longer than necessary.
- Even in your absence, sun blinds can open and close. So the temperature in the house never gets too high. If you have air conditioning, you can achieve great savings since it will run less often.
- Connecting motion detectors to the ventilation. The motion detector switches off the lighting in the toilet after you have left the room. The ventilation keeps working for another five minutes.
As resident, you can also set the zone heating yourself via the thermostat, which implies that the rooms in your home are only heated when needed. The bathroom, for example, between 7 am and 8 am and between 8 pm and 10 pm, and the children’s bedrooms only between 7 am and 8 am and between 5 pm and 7 pm.
