Frequently Asked Questions

Dimming

What is the difference between the different dimming levels?

In the different dimming levels, a distinction is made between phase control and reverse phase control. This is the way in which a specific lamp is dimmed. One LED lamp is best dimmed in e.g. position LED 1; reverse phase control, the other in LED 2; phase control. The best way to control is not mentioned on the lamp. We aim to provide the best dimming level through the results of our dimmer search engine.

In addition, there is a difference in the minimum adjusting possible, the curve which needs to be followed when dimming and also a boost function, which it may or may not be equipped with, to initialise lamps with a high starting current where the dimmer is activated in memory function and the minimum dimming level is wanted. There is a difference in dimming levels depending on the type of universal dimmer with standard PLC interference suppression.

2-wire universal push button dimmer and rotary dimmer

The following dimming levels are for the 2-wire universal push button dimmer dimmer with standard PLC interference suppression, 3-300W (310-0290X) and for the universal rotary dimmer with standard PLC interference suppression 3-300 W (310-0390X).
