Frequently Asked Questions

Dimming

How many LED lamps can be connected to the universal dimmers with standard PLC interference suppression?

Niko advises that you connect a maximum of 10 LED lamps with a maximum power of 200 W per universal dimmer with standard PLC interference suppression.

According to the tests which Niko ran in the past few years between LED lamps and dimmers, the voltage surges which were observed were too high from 10 pieces. This resulted in a negative effect on the life span of both the connected lamps and the dimmer. Due to the low power consumption of LED lamps, the maximum allowable power of 200 W is seldom reached.
