In 2015, a residential care home was built in the centre of Jette. The complex covers an area of 7,795 m² and includes 93 rooms, 19 serviced apartments and a service centre. It came with a price tag of 11.5 million euros, excluding VAT. EDF, an installation company specialising in large sites, won the public tender from the Public Centre for Social Welfare (PCSW). The company was responsible for all electrical works: ranging from switching material and standard lighting to fire detection and care call systems.
Sint-Jozefkliniek Campus Bornem is constructing a completely new hospital. Two blocks are being renovated. The central area of the old hospital is being removed and replaced with a new block. The existing central wing will have a new block at the back. The left hand side will make room for a new wing that is over 130 metres long. The principal, PCSW of Bornem, has opted to use Niko and is installing flush surround plates with a text field and Niko detectors.
